Visas Portugal

Do you need a visa?

 

Required by all but the following:

1- Nationals of EU and Schengen countries as well as nationals of Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Cyprus, Costa Rica, Croatia, Ecuador, Estonia, Guatemala, Holy See, Honduras, Hungary, Israel, Japan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Nicaragua, New Zealand, Panama, Paraguay, Republic of Turkey, Poland, Romania, San Marino, Salvador, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Switzerland, Uruguay, USA, Venezuela for stays of less than 90 days.

If you are entering a Schengen country other than Portugal as your first country of entry then that country is responsible for your visa application

All visitors must carry a passport valid for at least 6 months required by all except EU nationals and nationals of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Malta, Norway and Switzerland holding valid national ID cards.

  No more than 40 Euros

Validity of visa

  6 months from the date of issue. You can stay for no longer than 90 days on each entry to Portugal

Documents needed

 

- 1 visa application form (fully completed and signed);
- 2 recent photographs (size: 3.5 cm x 3.5 cm);
- Declaration of intent, statement or recommendation letter;
- Certificate of financial capacity, or certificate of bank balance;
- Certificate of criminal records issued by the Police Station which must be translated into Portuguese by the Portuguese Consulate/Embassy;
- A valid passport and 2 photocopies;
- Official medical statement attesting good health without any contagious disease;
- Certificate obtained locally to prove adequate housing conditions in Portugal;
- Consular charges.
