Information on the exams
 

The Spanish government thorugh the Instituto Cervantes and the university of Salamanca offer these internationally recognised exams in Spanish:
- CIE - Certificado Inicial de Español como Lengua Extranjera
- DBE - Diploma Básico de Español como Lengua Extranjera
- DSE - Diploma Superior de Español como Lengua Extranjera
You will probably neeed the DBE as a minimum to study in a Spanish university. The exams go from basic to advanced level.

Examination dates
 

May or November.

  A school will often charge this on top of the course price you pay. Check the details of the course carefully to see if it is an additional cost or includeed in the price of your course.

When you must sign up for the exam
  Approximately 4 months
