Exams Cambridge Exams (First, Advanced, Proficiency)

Information on the exams
 

These exams test 'British English'. They are very well recognised and are offered at the following levels:

PET
Preliminary English Test - quite a low level exam
FCE
First Certificate in English - Intermediate level
CAE
Certificate in Advanced English - Advanced exam
CPE
Certificate in Proficiency in English - Very high level needed.

Examination dates
 

June, December. The CPE can also be taken in March.

Examination costs
  A school will often charge this on top of the course price you pay. Check the details of the course carefully to see if it is an additional cost or includeed in the price of your course.

When you must sign up for the exam
  Approximately 12 weeks before the exam.
